Thus Coffee

Thus Coffee is a nice quiet place for you to get your brunch and coffee. It is located at Sembawang Hill area. Inside is furnished like an industrial style and is pretty quiet on a sleepy day. Is it good? The food portion is big enough. Ordered their egg benedicts and a salad beef bowl. The salad tastes fresh, eggs are very nicely done and coffee tastes good. The food arrived fast as well. Price is still OK. Best of all is no GST and service charge. Just one thing is that they seem do not have credit card payment. Parking is easy as there is a big car park nearby. Just go during off peak hour and you will be fine.

Jeju Kitchen

Korean food is always a popular choice in Singapore. Jeju Kitchen is another Korean restaurant that has many outlets here. Is it good? The signature dish is the volcano rice. I order Bulgogi chicken flavours owth chesse. The presentation looks OK. The egg with cheese is smooth. But dun leave it too long on the hot plate as it will be cooked and harden. So when it is served, quickly mix it with you rice. Kimchi pork stew is another dish I ordered. The stew is thick and the pork is not overly done. Taste good as well. Lastly, is the soy garlic fried chicken. This one I would say it is so so. Nothing fantastic. One down side is their barley tea is not refillable which is a shame. Food is served fast and price is ok.

Tanjong Rhu Wantan Noodle

Tanjong Rhu Wantan Noodle is located in a coffee shop at Yishun Blk 632. It is heavily recommended by many food blogs. They go as far as saying 8 best Wantan mee in Singapore!! So is it good? Firstly, there are 5 people queuing in front of me when I was there on Sunday @ 1230pm. Took me around 15 mins to get my food. So still OK. The Wantan mee is pretty Q, not too dry and chilli tastes good. The dumplings and Wantans are not overly done. Fried dumplings are cripsy. Price wise is considered cheap. So overall, I can say it is good. Can consider coming at maybe off peak period to try. Also, the coffee shop is pretty small. Not easy to find a seat during peak hours.

Colgate Optic White

I love to drink coffee shop teh c and yes yellowish teeth will start to appear. I tried Colgate Optic White toothpaste trying to make it less yellowish. So it is useful? Sadly no. I have used it for like past two years but no visible results. I have given up and move on. The retail price in Watsons etc is insanely expensive. It costs $8.90 for a small tube. So it is definitely not worth it. But if you really want to use that, you can try CK outlets or Swanston @ Chinatown. Usually can get like $2 to $3 per tube.

Thonglor Thai Cuisine

Thonglor at West Coast Plaza is located at the top floor. I ordered Tom Yum soup, pad thai and salted egg prawn. It is good? Actually not bad. The pad thai is chewy. The Tom Yum is spicy enough but do not burnt your throat. But the salted egg prawn can be better. Also I find the serving of food is slightly slow even though it is not crowded. Price wise is reasonable.

Everybody say Kungdari

全都是孔多利 or 大家都在咕塔里 whichever the Chinese translation is a Korean show playing on Oh!K Channel now. It is now showing 70+ episodes, and I can say it is super boring and annoying. The story is damn stupid. It really makes you mad. The good characters in the show are super dumb. I not sure if the writers want to make them looks naive or stupid. Forget about this show. In Korean, the rating is also bad.

PGFN

Pandan Gardens Fishball Noodles or in short PGFN is a chain store in various food court or coffee shop selling noodles. Now it is very hard to find a 24 hour chain selling food during this covid period. But if you are in for supper, PGFN is one of the 24 hours shop. Is it good? I ordered Laksa. The soup, noodles and chilli are pretty good but it will be better if the soup is slightly warmer. Price is good @ $3.50. I visited the outlet at Blk 261 Punggol way. There is a multi storey above and so parking is easy. Next door is a 24 hours mini mart U Stars.

Casuarina Curry

If you mentioned Prata, Jalan Kayu shops will first come to your mind. In fact, there is also one famous shop at Thomson. It is Casuarina Curry. Is it good? Actually passable. I went during a Sunday afternoon at 1pm. There is a carpark next to it but usually it is pretty full. But drive down a bit further will have rows of carpark and likely you will get a spot. Best of all, it is free parking on Sunday. Next, the queue actually is slightly long but it moves pretty fast. I got seats for two within 5 mins. The staffs are pretty OK. You ordered at the counter, paid and food are delivered to me within 5 mins. Pretty fast. I order Chicken Briyani which is $7.50. I find it OK. Next is sardine murtabak that cost around $9. It is just like u eat Prata and add sardine to it. The taste is not fused together nicely like I ate elsewhere. The teh tarik is smooth. Overall, it is fine but not the best.
